Also, a link via Bryan from the Washington post: Ford's Theater is being renovated, and is slated to re-open in February for the bicentennial of Lincoln's birthday. The re-opening will feature a new play about Lincoln's life.

The interior of the theater is actually not original: it collapsed in 1893 and was rebuilt in the 1960s.
