Fading Symbols of Rural Life
The New York Times has a beautiful photo essay of American barns. Sounds a little cheesy, I know, but the photos are sad and lovely and make me think of home. Connecticut is offering preservation grants to people who own barns over 75 years old. The barn pictured above was built in 1828.
